"Itty Bitty City"

Financial education for 1st and 2nd graders!!!

Floydada FFA Receives Donation

AFGC helps farmers contribute to their communities.

Floydada FFA received a $2,500.00 donation from the Monsanto Fund on behalf of Floyd county farmer Taylor Ross.  Taylor selected Floydada High School FFA to receive this donation through America’s Farmers Grow Communities.  AFGC recognizes the important contributions farmers make, and helps them grow their communities by supporting local nonprofit organizations.  Since the program started in 2010, more than $22 . . .

AR Trip to Six Flags

5th and 6th grade students rewarded for their hard work.

On Friday, May 13th, students from the 5th and 6th grade along with their teachers went to Six Flags. The students earned the trip by being the top 5 AR Readers in their class. The Accelerated Reader program is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension. Students select books on their reading level, read independently, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points . . .

BPA National Leadership Conference

FISD students placing at Nationals.

The Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference was May 7th and 8th in Boston, Massachusetts. The Website Team consisting of Macee Brotherton, Kaylee Morren and Remington Ricketts placed 10th.  Macee Brotherton placed 2nd place in Admin Support Research Project.   Alejandro Pinon went as an alternate.  " Boston was an amazing city full of history. A.B. Duncan Art Show

Thanks to Mrs. Pace for the fun evening!

A.B. Duncan held an Art Show on Tuesday, May 3rd.  Thank you to Mrs. Pace for her hard work to make this fun event possible.  The students were able to take their families around the building to see many of their art projects hanging in the hall ways.  This was a fun way present all that has been accomplished in art class this year. Families also gathered in the cafeteria to work on a family art activity.
