💛 STOMP OUT CHILDHOOD CANCER GAME 2026 💛 The Floydada Collegiate Student Council is proud to announce a special fundraiser leading up to our Floydada vs. Ralls football game on September 25th! Our students are coming together to raise awareness and support local families affected by childhood cancer through Hunter’s Heroes, a local organization created in memory of one of our own, Hunter Wells. Hunter was an incredibly special member of our school family who passed away after battling childhood cancer. His impact on our school and community continues to live on through the work of Hunter’s Heroes.

Attention Parents & Guardians

Celebrating September 16 Through Culture, Collaboration & Learning! Our Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 students celebrated September 16 with interactive Hispanic culture learning stations! Students worked together to research, create, communicate, and learn through hands-on activities while exploring Mexican history, traditions, language, art, music, food, and culture. Spanish 1 students built cultural knowledge while practicing Spanish vocabulary and communication skills, while Spanish 2 students completed more challenging activities involving research, Spanish-language skills, and critical thinking. Students rotated through the completed stations, learned from one another, and tested their knowledge with trivia! It was wonderful seeing students collaborate, create, problem-solve, and learn about the rich history and traditions of September 16. ¡Excelente trabajo, Spanish 1 & Spanish 2! 👏🇲🇽

‼️ Attention Students ‼️

The Floydada I.S.D. Board met on Tuesday, September 15th, and recognized the following students and staff for their efforts to make education the best it can be. Each month, the staff selects students who exemplify education at its best, and those students are recognized at the monthly school board meeting. A.B. Duncan Elementary Students of the Month were Kash Velasquez and Ililu Zamora, along with Jordan Beedy as Educator of the Month. Junior high and High School Students of the Month were also recognized, including 8th grade Sarah Mitchell and Robert White, and 12th grade Valentin Martinez and Tiffiny Perez. Jonathan Thiebaud was also recognized as Educator of the Month for FCJH/FCHS. Congratulations to each of these students and employees. Thank you for your hard work.

8th graders at the SPC Career Fair in Plainview #whirlwindpride 🌪️💚

Reminder to 8th graders and parents: On, Tuesday, September 15th, Floydada Collegiate 8th grade will travel to Plainview to a Career Expo to give them an opportunity to see a variety of possible career choices and help them determine an appropriate pathway for their high school degree plan.   The planned Itinerary for the day is to leave FCHS by bus at 8:30 a.m. and return to school before lunch. All 8th graders need to go to the cafeteria by 8:00am to get their breakfast.
