Yearbook SNAP is a way for teachers, administration, and parents to submit photos they've taken that might be beneficial for the 2025-2026 yearbook. Our yearbook staff isn't able to be present at every single event that takes place, and sometimes spectators take some of the best photos! Here's a way that you can help make our yearbook even better than ever before.

Only THREE more days to sign up for Little League. All players must complete paperwork TODAY at the Floydada Public Library. You can go by anytime between 10-6 AND you can complete the online sign up portion at your convenience at www.floydadalittleleague.com. Online registration portion deadline is February 7.

Lady Winds Powerlifting competed in the Tiger Invitational this past Saturday. The girls all had new personal records by 30+ pounds.

Aphrodite Aguliar placed 2nd in the 105 weight class and received the silver medal!
Kaydin Logsdon placed 4th in the 130's.
Isabel Johnston placed 5th in the 130's.
Jaylynn Moreno placed 6th in the 130's.

In December, Duncan Title III and Title I, Part C K-5th students attended the Region 17 ESC Book Fiesta. Students enjoyed a variety of interactive read-alouds, participated in fun arts and crafts activities, and had the opportunity to share their own work. Each student left with some favorite books to enjoy at home. To make the day even more special, students also got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Clause.

Junior High Title III students participated in the Region 17 ESC Mi Voz, My Story Poetry Event, where they took part in meaningful activities designed to empower them to use their voices and share their personal stories. Through the creation of original poetry, students creatively expressed their thoughts, experiences, and emotions. They also had the opportunity to showcase their work during an open mic session, building confidence and pride in their voices. To extend the learning beyond the event, students received Laughing Out Loud, I Fly poetry books in both English and Spanish and selected additional books to share with their families, encouraging literacy and continued storytelling at home.

Duncan ACE Update: Due to the incoming weather and the early dismissal tomorrow, there will be no ACE Friday, January 23rd.
