Important Update: Changes to Text Message Notifications in ParentPortal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
FCISD wants to ensure that you continue to receive important updates about your student.
Major mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, have discontinued support for the method that ASCENDER uses for text messages to be sent to your phone number.
AT&T officially ended this service on June 17, 2025.
T-Mobile stopped functioning at the end of 2024.
Verizon has fully discontinued vText, and it is no longer supported as of mid-2025.
What does this mean for you?
To continue receiving timely notifications and to ensure you continue to receive school updates, schedule changes, and important announcements - this requires a current email address on file for you in both ASCENDER and ParentProtal.
Action Needed:
If your e-mail address has changed since school registration, please provide or verify your email address with the school office as soon as possible. This will ensure you do not miss any important information regarding your student.
We appreciate your understanding as we adapt to these industry-wide changes and continue working to keep you informed in the most reliable way possible. Thank you for helping us stay connected with you and your family!

Floydada CISD is currently experiencing an issue with our telephone provider and our phones are not working at this time. We have put in a support ticket to have this issue investigated.

We look forward to our first home football game this Friday evening as our Whirlwinds take on the Tulia Hornets at 7 pm. We need to share some information with you all as we kick off football season:
1. Kids will not be allowed behind the stands. Please be sure they remain in the stands unless going to the restroom or concession stand. No hanging from the hand rails in the stands.
2. Please be respectful of our beautiful stadium and dispose of trash in the trash receptacles.
3. No outside food or drinks are allowed (Yeti or other type of cups included). Please support our Booster Club by visiting the concession stand.
