Message for Secondary Students Who Drive to/from School and Their Parents:
Student safety is of the utmost importance to us. One of the aspects of student safety is safe operation of motor vehicles around school zones. We have noticed some students failing to obey traffic laws within school zones (i.e. exceeding the posted speed limit in school zones, failing to stop at stop signs, etc.). Local law enforcement will begin enforcing all traffic laws around our schools before school, during lunch periods, and after school. Please use this message as a warning. While it’s not ideal nor legal, we know that some students do not have a driver’s license, operate vehicles with expired tags, or operate vehicles with no insurance. Please understand that a traffic violation in a school zone, along with any of these violations, will lead to an expensive outcome. Please help us keep our streets safe around our schools and school zones. Thank you for your help!
Sincerely,
Floydada Collegiate ISD

October is National Principals Month, and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing principals who lead our schools. Their dedication, passion, and commitment shape the educational experiences of our students and foster positive school cultures.
Every day, our principals inspire teachers, staff, and students to strive for their best. They navigate challenges with grace and create environments where every student can thrive. This month, join us in recognizing and thanking these remarkable leaders.
To our wonderful principals, Monica Smith and Rhanda Emery, thank you for all that you do. Your leadership and tireless efforts make a profound difference. Let’s all take a moment to #ThankAPrincipal and show our appreciation for their invaluable contributions to our schools and communities.
