Our FFA Chapter had a great day at the Area AAE Event at South Plains College. Our team worked hard and earned second place in our district and eighth place in the area.
A big thank you to B&J Welding and Miller for providing welding gloves to each student who participated. We also appreciate the South Plains College Welding Technology Program for hosting the event in their outstanding facility and the instructors for making it a great experience.

On Friday, March 7, Floydada Collegiate High School students traveled to Post, Texas to perform in the One Act Play District UIL event. This year, they received authorization from UIL to produce a non-published original comedy from writer/collaborator K.M. Altman, "The Untold Story of the Sword and the Stone". As this was this play's first ever performance/debut, this cast of persevering teenagers will heretofore be known as the "Original Cast" of this show. Juan Robledo served as Stage Manager, and the show was directed by Eason Campbell (Sponsor).
Several students took home honors in overall District 4-2A:

Jackson Graham earned All-Star Cast Honorable Mention

Jakob Cuellar and Leo Mendoza competed in the boys regional powerlifting meet in Brownfield on March 6th.
Jakob earned 3rd place with a total weight of 1370 lbs!

Game Update: Floydada Lady Winds Softball
Today's game against Lubbock Cooper Liberty has been canceled due to the high winds forecasted. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 6th, at 5:00 p.m. in Floydada.

Today, 9 talented junior high and 5 high school students competed in the Kid Wind competition, showcasing their creativity and engineering skills. We had 2 junior high teams and 1 high school team representing us. 💨🔧
