Good afternoon. Out of an abundance of caution, our elementary campus went into lockdown briefly this afternoon from 12:23 until 12:35 after receiving a call from the Sheriff's Department regarding an alleged armed individual at a residence a couple of blocks away from the campus. Students and staff were not in immediate danger and the lockdown was initiated for precautionary reasons. We lifted the lockdown after law enforcement notified us that there was no threat of danger. Also, as a reminder, our district employs armed Guardians on each campus in order to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Thank you for your support.
