District 3-2A Tennis Team Champions, District Girls Tennis Champions and District Boys Tennis Champions.

The Regional Tennis Meet will be held on April 26-27.
Ryder Glass won Regional UIL in Extemporaneous Persuasive Speaking and will be advancing to State UIL. Regional UIL was held on April 16 at WTAMU. State UIL will be held on May 25-26 . Good Luck and Congratulations Ryder!

ACE Site Coordinator Substitute Opening (Cycle 9):
Communities In Schools of The South Plains, Inc. ® is seeking to a part-time, substitute ACE Site Coordinator position at Floydada Jr. High to work with students at risk of dropping out of school. The position is a substitute and temporary position that pays a highly competitive hourly rate. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license, have excellent communication skills, and experience in data entry, activity planning, and supervising. Other duties include implementation of before and after school programs and coordination of community resources to meet student needs. FCHS will hold a parent meeting on Thursday, April 15th for all parents with children entering the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade for the upcoming 2021-22 school year. Mrs. DeLaFuente's 6th grade Math classes are not posting correctly in the grade book. Progress reports sent out today are incorrect. Mrs. DelaFuente is working with the Service Center to get the issue corrected.

Flute Quartet Advances to State Solo and Ensemble Contest
On Saturday, February 27, two teams traveled to Crosbyton for the UIL Region Solo and Ensemble Contest. Our clarinet quartet earned a Division 3 and our Flute Quartet earned a Division 1. The Flute Quartet, consisting of Anyssa Sanchez, Jody Briones, Alex De Los Santos, and Holley Monroe, will compete at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest on May 29-31. Usually the contest is held in Pflugerville, TX, however this year due to COVID the contest has been changed to a virtual contest. Wish them luck in their preparations for state contests! Gooooooo Whirlwinds!
