Lady Winds/Whirlwinds vs. New Deal Game Info for Friday, January 29, 2021 in Whirlwind Gym
Each JV and Varsity Player will receive 4 vouchers for their immediate family. In order to comply with gym capacity, we are only allowing 4 vouchers per family for the rest of the season. All extra vouchers will be available at the gate on Friday and will be given on a first come, first served basis. Even though you have a voucher, you still must pay the $3 entry fee. Thank you for your understanding as we try to comply with the UIL guidelines for athletic contests. The safety of our student-athletes is our top priority. The game will be live-streamed on the KFLP site for those that are not able to attend.

Lady Winds/Whirlwinds at Lockney Basketball Game Info for Tuesday, January 26, 2021
Each player on the JV and Varsity teams will receive 4 vouchers for entry into the Lockney Gymnasium. Families must sit together in the "boxseat" (for 4 people) areas that will be marked off. The voucher is only good for that game (i.e. if you receive a JV boys voucher, it will only be good for the JV boys game). All fans are to exit the gym upon conclusion of each game so they can disinfect. Fans will then be allowed into the next game with the appropriate voucher. Fans must not sit on any seat/bench that has been taped off. Fans must wear masks at all times in the gymnasium. Only 56 visiting fans are allowed into each game, so no extra vouchers will be available for fans who are not immediate family of players. Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is how Lockney must handle things while under COVID-19 restrictions. You can watch the live stream of the varsity games on KFLP.

An elementary student (5th grade) received medical confirmation on Monday, December 14, 2020, of a positive COVID-19 test. The student was not on campus on Monday so there was no close contact with any other students. The student is in quarantine. On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, a 7th grade student received medical confirmation of a positive COVID-19 test and is now in quarantine. After conducting contact tracing, we discovered that 7th grade boys basketball team was in close contact with the student at a game held on Monday, December 14th vs. Hale Center. Members of the this team will be required to quarantine, unless they missed the game or were previously positive. We have notified Hale Center ISD of this positive case.
Close contact is defined as being exposed to infectious secretions (i.e. being coughed on) or being within 6 feet for a cumulative duration of 15 minutes without a facial covering. Please continue to encourage your child to wear their facial covering as this will help decrease the likelihood of contracting the virus. Also, please keep your child home and monitor for COVID-19 symptoms if they are required to quarantine.

This is a FCISD announcement. Student will release early on Thursday, December 17 at 1:30 PM and on Friday, December 18 at 12:00 PM. Classes will resume on Wednesday, January 6 at normal hours. Be safe and have a great Christmas Holiday.

Congratulations to the following students who participated in the Texas Tech University virtual Fall Fandango UIL meet on October 31, 2020. We are proud of their hard work.
