2nd grade is have a Food Drive for our Service Learning Project.
We will begin collecting food from Oct. 15- Nov. 7.
Canned food ( except for Green Beans, and any boxed food items) are excepted. Food collected will go to Floydada SOS.

Floydada ISD has applied to Collegiate Edu-Nation to become a Collegiate District. If accepted into this network, students will be able to earn enough college hours to earn at least an Associate's Degree and will have opportunities to earn other job-related skills and certificates. This will be at NO COST to students, thus saving parents thousands of dollars.

There will be no ACE after school on Tuesday, October 8. Everyone is encouraged to attend Open House.

FHS students attend the Chad Cargill ACT presentation at Anson High School today. This workshop will help prepare them for the ACT on October 26th.


AB Duncan fundraiser items will be delievered on Wednesday October 23rd . Students must be accompanied by a Adult to pick up their items. We will start the pick up at 4 pm and go to 7pm.

On Thursday, Oct. 3 the 7th grade Winds will play in New Deal at 5:00. The 8th grade Winds will play in Lockney at 5:00, and the JV Winds will play at home against Farwell at 5:00.

Wednesdays are "College Day" in FISD. Students and staff wear college shirts of their choice. We believe all FISD students should have the goal of attending college. Dream big!


See You At The Pole
FHS students participated in Global Day of Student Prayer. A big thanks to Nathan, Youth Minister and Floydada First Baptist Church for supplying the donuts and juice. The student led service included Bible verses and singing.

September Student and Staff of the Month
September Student and Staff of the Month The Floydada I.S.D. Board met on Tuesday, September 17 and recognized the following students and staff for their efforts to make education the best it can be. Each month the staff selects students that exemplify education at its best and those students are recognized at the monthly school board meeting. The A.B.Duncan student recognized were Kyra Segura and Brody Hughes, grade 6. The Floydada Junior High Students of the month were Giovanni Baltazar and Kylie Fipps, grade 8. The Floydada High School students recognized were Alexis Hernandez and Pablo Mendoza, grade 12. The elementary educator selected this month was Kristie Carroll, 4th & 5th Social Studies. The secondary employee of the month was Trey Rogge, English 2 & 3. Congratulations to each of these students and employees and thank you for your hard work.

On September 17, 2019, the FISD board of trustees modified Policy FNCE (LOCAL) to allow for the following cell phone policy. The policy will be effective on Monday, September 23, 2019.
FISD Cell Phone Policy
1st offense - Warning
2nd offense - parent must pick up phone
3rd offense - $15 fine MUST be paid or phone will not be released *
$15 fine each time thereafter
