The Lady Winds begin their basketball season tomorrow with a scrimmage in Roosevelt at 10 am.

Just a reminder to parents/guardians that Wednesday, November 6th is a 1:30 dismissal for students.

Please join us tonight as we honor Wester Field at the conclusion of our band's halftime performance. All former football players, cheerleaders, and band members are encouraged to line up on the field as we play the school song and fight song.

Just a reminder about the City-wide pep rally this evening at Wester Field after the 8th grade game (around 7:30). All ex-football players and ex-cheerleaders will participate by gathering on the field during the pep rally. We will also honor all ex-players, cheerleaders, and band members tomorrow at halftime of the game vs. Hale Center.

Farewell to Wester Field Update
I know there have been a few changes on the Farewell to Wester FIeld! The Pep Rally will no longer be on Friday! it was moved to Thursday, October 31st. at 8 p.m. at the football field!
I KNOW THAT A LOT OF OUR STAFF IS A PART OF OUR EXES! I HOPE YALL WILL COME OUT AND JOIN US ON THE FIELD! WE WILL HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE RESERVED FOR YOU!

Duncan Red Ribbon Week


The new football field "e-layer" has been installed. The next step is the turf.

Spirit of the Winds Band will compete Saturday, October 19, at Lowery Field in Lubbock for UIL Marching Contest. The band will compete at 3:15.

2nd grade is have a Food Drive for our Service Learning Project.
We will begin collecting food from Oct. 15- Nov. 7.
Canned food ( except for Green Beans, and any boxed food items) are excepted. Food collected will go to Floydada SOS.

Floydada ISD has applied to Collegiate Edu-Nation to become a Collegiate District. If accepted into this network, students will be able to earn enough college hours to earn at least an Associate's Degree and will have opportunities to earn other job-related skills and certificates. This will be at NO COST to students, thus saving parents thousands of dollars.

There will be no ACE after school on Tuesday, October 8. Everyone is encouraged to attend Open House.

FHS students attend the Chad Cargill ACT presentation at Anson High School today. This workshop will help prepare them for the ACT on October 26th.


AB Duncan fundraiser items will be delievered on Wednesday October 23rd . Students must be accompanied by a Adult to pick up their items. We will start the pick up at 4 pm and go to 7pm.
